I have
competed in rodeos since I
was 14 years old, earning my
PRCA card in about 1975 and
remained active for about 10
years.
I began
shoeing horses in 1968 which
has been the main source of
income for me along with
riding colts.
I worked at
the Pitzer Ranch in Nebraska
for several years shoeing
and showing their great
quarter horses, home of Two
Eyed Jack. I also
worked several years at
Floyd Moore's 6-J Paint
Horses, home of Delta Flyer
in Texas. I succeeded
in placing in the top ten at
both AQHA and APHA World
Shows.
My life has
been very blessed in all
aspects as far as my
learning curve as a
horseman, or just in life.
I have had the influence
from many great people too
numerous to mention, but
none more significant than
Ray. It was after
meeting Ray and Carolyn in
1982, I was better able to
discern and appreciate the
good influences and insights
I had been receiving all my
life. I have been
married to my wife Debbie
for 42 years, we have 2
children and 6 granchildren.
