Doug Jordan, a
native of Indiana
was raised around
horses. The son of
a Farrier, his
father Phil ran a
large boarding
stable outside
Indianapolis, IN.
Doug trained his
first Cutting Horse
in Junior High
School and qualified
for the National
High School Rodeo
finals in Cutting on
several occasions.
After high school he
was privileged to
work for a few
well-respected
Cutting Horse
trainers, one of
which was the late
Shorty Freeman. In
February of 1988
Doug attended his
first Ray Hunt
Clinic in Waco, TX
and his training
philosophy exploded
into a new world of
"feel", "timing" and
"balance"! That
same year he tied to
win the NCHA
Futurity riding
"Cols Lil Pepper" in
a ring snaffle.
Doing less to
achieve more has
translated now into
every aspect of his
life!
