Our "Legacy Protection" isn't about restriction—it’s about authenticity. We believe the horsemanship community deserves to know that when they see these marks, the content or event has been vetted for quality and is directly supporting Carolyn Hunt.

Guidance for the Community

We are often asked how to help support this legacy. Here are our "House Rules" for keeping Ray's work safe and respectful:

• Respect the Source: The photos, videos, and writings shared here are family memories. We invite you to enjoy them for personal inspiration. For any commercial or public use, we ask that you reach out for formal licensing. This ensures that a portion of the proceeds directly supports the family and the ongoing work of the archive.

• Official Affiliations: To maintain a clear "gathering spot" for the community, we do not currently authorize third-party foundations or non-profits to solicit funds using the Ray Hunt name. If you are ever unsure if an organization or event is officially sanctioned by the family, please contact us directly.

• The "Honor Code": We appreciate those who honor this legacy by seeking official partnerships rather than unauthorized use.

Our "Eyes and Ears"

To the students and friends who have rode the trail with Ray and Carolyn Hunt for decades: thank you. You have always been the true guardians of Ray’s work. If you encounter merchandise, media, or "gated" content that feels inconsistent with Ray’s philosophy of transparency and respect, please let us know.

Official Notice: The Ray Hunt Legacy

As the official stewards of Ray Hunt’s life and work, the Ray and Carolyn Hunt family is committed to ensuring that his name and teachings are represented with the same honesty he lived by. To protect the community from confusion, we provide the following official clarity regarding the use of the Ray Hunt name and "Think"™ philosophy.

1. Authorized Foundations and Non-Profits

The Ray Hunt Estate and the family of Ray and Carolyn Hunt have not granted any non-profit organization, 501(c) entity, or private foundation the right to use Ray Hunt’s name, likeness, or trademarked "Think"™ philosophy for fundraising or promotional purposes.

Currently, there are no authorized third-party foundations or scholarship funds sanctioned by Carolyn Hunt. Any entity soliciting donations or selling "charitable" merchandise under the Ray Hunt name is doing so without the consent of the Estate. We encourage our community to be mindful: a non-profit designation is not a license to bypass the legacy protections or trademark rights held by the Hunt family.

2. Digital Integrity & Content Usage

This website is a curated archive intended for the personal inspiration and education of the horsemanship community. To maintain the integrity of these historical records:

• Prohibited Use: The scraping, reposting, or distribution of these photos, videos, or written works for digital exploitation, self-promotion, or "content generation" is strictly prohibited. This applies to all commercial, personal, and non-profit platforms, including social media, websites, and physical storefronts or educational centers.

• Copyright Ownership: While we are proud to host this Collection, original copyrights remain with the respective professional photographers or their estates.

3. Protecting the "Fair Deal"

Ray believed in a "fair deal." Using a legacy for profit or self-promotion without a formal agreement with the family is inconsistent with the principles Ray taught. We will continue to take the necessary steps to prevent the "false association" of unauthorized groups with the Ray and Carolyn Hunt Family name.
